<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation monitoring device and an operation monitoring method capable of preventing confusion by excess information of an operator and dilution of operator's consciousness. <P>SOLUTION: The operation monitoring device includes storage means for storing a plurality of display images to be displayed on a monitoring screen, reception means for receiving an operation of selecting one display image from the display images stored in the storage means, and display means for displaying the display image selected through the reception means on the monitoring screen.
