<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a television camera apparatus by displaying a light transmission and reception level or a usable power remainder of utility to allow a user to view the display to make a judgement easily. <P>SOLUTION: The television camera apparatus comprises: a camera head; a camera control unit for controlling the camera head; and a cable for connecting the camera head and the camera control unit. The camera head comprises means for outputting a utility power source, return image output means, and prompt output means. The camera control unit comprises detection means for detecting a power used by the television camera apparatus.
