PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for treating osteoarthritis pain and pharmaceutical compositions for treating osteoarthritis pain.

SOLUTION: There are provided the methods for treating osteoarthritis pain comprising administering an effective amount of an antagonist of nerve growth factor (NGF) to an individual, and the pharmaceutical compositions for treating osteoarthritis pain comprising an NGF antagonist and a carrier. The NGF antagonist is preferably an anti-NGF antagonist antibody. The anti-NGF antagonist is preferably a monoclonal antibody or a humanized antibody.
