PURPOSE: An optical path changing element with curved waveguides is provided to change an optical path with a large angle close to 90 degrees after light or an optical signal is incident and reflected, and to change the optical path in various directions such as going straight, turning left, or turning right. CONSTITUTION: An optical path changing element includes a first waveguide(11), a second waveguide(12), a first reflector(21), a first controller, and a third waveguide(13). The first waveguide has a linear shape, and light or an optical signal enters through one side. The second waveguide has a shape branching off from the first waveguide, and forms a first angle with the first waveguide in a first direction. The first reflector is arranged in the region where the second waveguide branches off from the first waveguide and selectively transmits the light or optical signal to the first waveguide or the second waveguide. The first controller generates a control signal and changes the refractive index of the first reflector. The third waveguide crosses the first waveguide, meets the terminal end of the second waveguide, and is formed in a linear shape. |
