Negative electrode for an asymmetric supercapacitor with nickel hydroxide positive electrode and alkali electrolyte and method for manufacturing same

The electrode has a continuous current collector whose 50 percent or more than 50 percent of surface exhibits a primary roughness (Ra1) ranging between 0.8 and 15 micrometers measured for a base length ranging between 2 and 200 micrometers. The collector is coated with a mixture of active carbon and a binder. The active carbon has a specific surface area greater than or equal to 500 square meters per gram, and the binder has a mixture of cellulosic compound and a styrenic copolymer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an asymmetric supercapacitor (2) a method for manufacturing an electrode.
