PURPOSE: A public transport fee calculation system and a method thereof are provided to transfer the getting-off information of a user to a calculation server simply by tagging with a transportation information providing server installed at a station, thereby processing the calculation depending on the public transportation usage of the user. CONSTITUTION: A traffic information providing terminal(200) receives public transportation traveling information and information about a user mobile terminal(100) and produces the getting-off time information of the user mobile terminal. The traffic information providing terminal produces calculation processing information by comparison of the produced getting-off time information and the public transportation traveling information and transmits the calculation processing information to an exact calculation server(300). The exact calculation server calculates the public transport fee of the user by merging and analyzing collected public transportation information received from a public transportation information collector(500) and the calculation processing information.
