Styrene graft polymers are made by prepolymerizing a solution in stipene of a homopolymer of butadiene or isoprene containing at least 90% by weight of the cis-1,4 isomer to a viscosity (at 65‹ C.) of 950 to 1030cp., forming an aqueous suspension of the prepolymer obtained, adding a catalyst to the suspension and completing the polymerization.
