A door closing apparatus includes a latch mechanism (20) operated for opening or closing a vehicle door (1), an actuator (40) transmitting a driving force to the latch mechanism (20), a first lever (12) rotatably disposed about a first rotational axis (01) and rotating in one direction in response to transmission of an operation force of a door handle (4, 5) to the first lever (12) so that the latch mechanism (20) is controlled at the unlatched state, a second lever (76) having an engagement with the first lever (12) and rotatably disposed about a second rotational axis (02). The second lever (76) rotates in the one direction about the second rotational axis (02) in response to a rotation in the one direction of the first lever (12) to interrupt transmission of the driving force from the actuator (40) to the latch mechanism (20).
