4 PRIMARY COLOR DISPLAY DEVICE AND PIXEL DATA RENDERING METHOD OF THEREOF

PURPOSE: A 4 primary color display device and a pixel data rendering method thereof are provided to improve a PPI(Pixels Per Inch) on a display image by increasing a cognitive transverse resolution without increasing a physical resolution. CONSTITUTION: A display panel includes a plurality of 4 primary color pixels. A pixel data rendering circuit generates 4 primary color pixel data corresponding to a second transverse resolution which is equal to a physical transverse resolution of the display panel using 3 primary color pixel data corresponding to a first transverse resolution. A weight factor is set with a brightness ratio of two 3 primary color pixel data to increase a cognitive transverse resolution of brightness about the 4 primary color pixel data to the first transverse resolution. The weight factor is reflected on a grade calculation process of one 4 primary color pixel data.
