PURPOSE: A digital photographing device and a control method thereof are provided to guide a focus of the whole screen by simultaneously displaying the whole area and an expanded area. CONSTITUTION: A digital photographing device displays a first image obtained through a photographing device(900,902). When manual focusing is performed to the first image, the device obtains a second image through the photographing device according to the manual focusing(904,906). The device displays the obtained second image(908).
