A wireless device is arranged to switch the radio access technology it is using, e.g. switch from packets over LTE to a circuit switched 2G network for a voice call, such as is done with Circuit Switched Fallback (CSFB) 300. The wireless device disconnects from E-UTRAN (LTE) and stores information about the first PLMN in the mobile device USIM and at least attempts to connect to use UMTS or GSM circuit switched technology (310). It is determined that the wireless device should revert to using the first radio access technology, LTE (320). At expiry of a predetermined period of time (which may be zero) after the determining, the wireless device is caused to cease using or attempting to use the 2G access technology and to revert to using the first radio access technology, using the stored PLMN to do so.
