<p>A pipeline field joint coating applicator machine comprising:
a first frame (2) arranged to be mounted on a pipeline carrying an induction heating coil (4) which encircles the field joint for heating. And a second frame (6) mounted on the pipeline and rotatable thereabout, which second frame carries a pipeline field joint coating applicator (8). A dust extraction hood (24) is mounted on the second frame (6) and has lateral sides with respective holes (30, 32) therein through which the pipeline may pass. The dust extraction hood (24) is coupled to a vacuum source and a filter such that air may be drawn into the hood via one or both of the holes such that coating material-contaminated air is filtered.</p> |
