A normally solid polypropylene of density 0,870-0,920 is blended with a normally solid ethylene copolymer of density 0,900-0,960 and prepared from ethylene and a terminally unsaturated hydrocarbon containing more than 3 carbon atoms. The unsaturated hydrocarbon may comprise 0,1-50% of the copolymer and may contain 4-18 C atoms, e.g. 1-butene, 1-octene or 1-decene. The polypropylene may comprise 2-75% of the blend, e.g. 2-25% for use as a wire and cable coating resin or 25-50% for use as a foamed coating, e.g. using 0,75% of an azodicarbonamide. The blend may have a melt index of 0,005-5,0. The copolymer may be made by introducing the comonomer during the co-ordination polymerization of ethylene, i.e. using a co-ordination compound as catalyst, and the polypropylene may be prepared using a similar catalyst.
