A decorating tool 1 comprises a holder 5 to receive a paint brush 10; the holder 5 being rotatably mounted to allow the brush 10 to rotate from an in-use condition to a second condition, and vice versa, the tool 1 comprising a guide edge 4 to control the extent to which paint is applied onto an object to be painted; the guide edge 4 is preferably flexible and tapered and the holder 5 is preferable biased to maintain the paint brush 10 in the in use position or the second position.
