PURPOSE: An iron supplement for oral administration is provided to suppress proliferation of E.coli in blood and to prevent diarrhea. CONSTITUTION: An iron supplement for oral administration contains 1-50 parts by weight of egg yolk powder or egg powder and 1-50 parts by weight of iron. The egg yolk powder or egg powder contains a yolk antibody to E.coli. The iron includes organic iron, inorganic iron, or chelate iron. The iron is iron dextran or gleptoferon.
