<p>PURPOSE: A lighting device and an operation method thereof are provided to operate the light in the optimal brightness to secure the visibility when the light device senses a dangerous situation, thereby rapidly recognizing the dangerous situation. CONSTITUTION: A light driving unit(120) generates a driving signal for driving a lighting unit(130). The lighting unit radiates the light along the driving signal of the light driving unit. A sensor unit(170) senses the surrounding environment. A power supply unit(110) supplies the driving power to each element equipped in a lighting device(100). A control unit(190) determines the driving condition of the lighting unit according to the surrounding environment which is sensed through the sensor unit. A camera driving unit(150) takes a picture of the surrounding environment.
