A cable trunking device, comprising first and second cable trunking components, wherein the first trunking component has at least an end portion extending in a first direction to a first end thereof and for connecting to an end portion of the second trunking component; wherein the end portion of the first trunking component has two side walls joined by a base wall; wherein said end portion of the first trunking component defines in one or more wails thereof one or more guide channels each extending from said first end and each configured to receive a respective fastening component extending from a corresponding wall of the second trunking component, wherein each guide channel begins in a proximal part extending substantially parallel to the base wall and ends in a distal part extending substantially perpendicular to the proximal part; and wherein the action of sliding the fastening components along the respective guide channels guides the second trunking component to an end position at which relative movement of the two trunking components in said first direction is blocked, and wherein the fastening component is usable to increase the force of contact between the two trunking components in the end position
