<p>To form a twisted pair cable with good quality which is twisted at uniform pitches without involving any slack therein even in a case that there exists variation in length of paired electric wires to be used. A backward tension applying mechanism 1 for twisting paired electric wires, is adopted which comprises a pair of electric wire clamps 2, a pair of movable base plates 3 to which the pair of electric wire clamps are fixed respectively, a common stationary base plate 5 with which the pair of movable base plates are brought into engagement so as to slide in a longitudinal direction of electric wires along corresponding guide rails 4, and a pair of backward tension applying air cylinders 6 which connect the common stationary base plate with the pair of movable base plates.</p> |
