<p>A co-ordinate gantry measuring machine (1), having a fixed structure (2) comprising three pillars (3, 4 , 5) designed to be fixed to a foundation or to a machine bed, a pair of horizontal longitudinal members (7, 8) parallel to one another, supported by the pillars (3, 4, 5) and provided with guides (15, 16), and a mobile unit comprising a carriage (17) supported by the longitudinal members (7, 8) and mobile along the guides (15, 16); the longitudinal members (7, 8) are connected together by a pair of cross members (9, 10) to form a frame (6) supported by the pillars (3, 4, 5) via a statically determinate system of constraints (25, 26, 27).</p> |
