The invention comprises 2-(n- and iso-)propyl-3,3-diphenyl-propen-(2)-yl-amines and non-toxic acid addition salts thereof, such as the hydrochloride, hydrobromide, tartrate, lactate, benzoate, nicotinate, gluconate or methylsulphonate, and their preparation by dehydrating the corresponding 2-propyl-3,3-diphenyl-3-hydroxy-propylamine, e.g. by treatment with hydrogen chloride in solution. 2-Propyl-3,3-diphenyl-3-hydroxy-propylamine is made by hydrogenation of 1-propyl-2-hydroxy-2,2-diphenylpropionitrile. |
