PURPOSE: An image receiving member for an inkjet printer and an ink image receiving and transferring device are provided to reduce time required for staring printing. CONSTITUTION: An image receiving member(200) for an inkjet printer comprises a cylindrical wall(204), a first ring-shaped supporting member(216), and a heater. The cylindrical wall includes a first end portion(305) and a second end portion(306). The cylindrical wall has an exterior surface for receiving and transporting phase change ink images and an inner surface limiting an inner volume of the image receiving member. The first ring-shaped supporting member is arranged inside the image receiving member and fixed to at least a part of the inner surface of the cylindrical wall. The first ring-shaped supporting member is shorter than the length of the cylindrical wall. The heater applies heat to the inner surface of the cylindrical wall.
