PURPOSE: An AP(Access Point) selecting device and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to select one of APs based on network access speed. CONSTITUTION: A monitoring unit(110) monitors a plurality of APs which a user terminal connects. A speed measuring unit(120) measures network access speed for each sensed AP. The network access speed indicates speed for transmitting and receiving data with an external device on a network. A control unit(130) selects one or more APs based on the measured network access speed. The sensing unit separates the sensed APs with an identifier.
