<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce encoded data while enabling satisfactory post-processing of multi-viewpoint images. <P>SOLUTION: When a code amount suppression mode is ON and a photographing mode is a distant view photographing mode, parallax between images of multiple viewpoints is small, and therefore images of viewpoint positions at four corners and the center of two-dimensionally arranged imaging units are set to storage targets. Then, when the code amount suppression mode is ON and the photographing mode is a near view photographing mode, in order to generate a free viewpoint image of relatively high image quality, images of viewpoint positions with viewpoint intervals narrower than those in the distant view photographing mode are set to storage targets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
