<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet reception device, capable of determining discontinuity of sequence numbers originally not to be counted to be a packet loss. <P>SOLUTION: A packet reception device (1) for receiving and processing packets having sequence numbers added thereto includes: detection means (packet processor 11) for detecting whether packets are incoming with continuous sequence numbers; confirmation means (time calculation unit 12) for, on detection of discontinuous sequence numbers by the detection means, confirming a lapse time after the occurrence of discontinuity in the sequence numbers; and determination means (packet loss determination unit 14) for, based on the confirmation result of the confirmation means, determining whether a packet loss actually occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
