The connecting element is made as capable of connection of the mortar shell and the connecting element with the tail assembly of the mortar shell by means of mechanical connection. In the connection with the connecting element (8) there is a section, which is deformed during firing, making it possible for the mortar shell (1) to break from the support unit (6), and a trigger mechanism (17) for ignition of the main cap (10) of the mortar shell.
