<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device in which non-light emitting portions at both ends are minimized. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device comprises: a light source part 1 in which one or more light emitting diodes are mounted on a surface of a mounting substrate 10 that is formed into a long plate-like shape; a heat dissipation member 2 at least partially contacting a rear face of the mounting substrate 10; and an insulation member 3 formed of an insulation material into a long plate-like shape, and interposed between the light source part 1 and the heat dissipation member 2.
