<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for discharging cooling air only when located within a hot streak, in a component for a gas turbine engine. <P>SOLUTION: A component 132 for a gas turbine engine includes a cooling aperture 194, and a plug for filling at least a portion of the cooling aperture 194 so as to block airflow through the cooling aperture 194.
