<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the attitude of an arm to be changed with less force when a shade is drawn out. <P>SOLUTION: A window shade device for a vehicle is provided with: a guide support mechanism in which a movable member 64 is supported so as to be movable along a guide path; and an arm 70 whose one end is coupled to the draw side end of the window shade and whose other end is rotatably supported by the movable member 64, and whose attitude can be changed between a first attitude and a second attitude. The arm 70 is provided with a first gear, and at least a part of the guide path is provided with a second gear 78. The window shade device for the vehicle is provided with: a first intermediate gear member 82 engaged with the first gear; a second intermediate gear member 86 engaged with the second gear 78; and a relay speed reduction gear member 84 which is interposed between the gears 82 and 86 and reduces and transmits rotary motion.
