PURPOSE: A composition containing MSM(methylsulfonylmethane) or a mixture of MSM and bamboo salt for preventing and treating cancer is provided to effectively prevent or treat cancer and to be applied to a pharmaceutical composition. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating cancer contains MSM or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The cancer is breast cancer, prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cervix cancer, skin cancer, melanoma, pancreatic cancer, coloproctitis, kidney cancer, leukemia, non-small cell carcinoma, and lung cancer. The composition contains MSM and bamboo salt as active ingredients. The composition also contains a solubilizing agent, an inert filler, a diluent, an excipient, and a flavoring agent.
