BACKLIGHT UNIT AND DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a display apparatus having the same are provided to improve light efficiency by randomly forming an intaglio unit pattern of a light guide plate on a lower plate. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(200) is arranged under a display panel(30). The light of a light source unit(100) is emitted to the display panel. The unit pattern(210) for reflecting light is formed in the lower surface(201) of the light guide plate. The light reflected from the unit pattern is emitted from the upper surface(202) of the light guide plate. The unit pattern has a particle structure formed on a low plate. The unit pattern totally reflects the light to the upper surface.
