摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery warm-up apparatus which places little burden on a battery and which is compact and low-cost, and a battery warm-up method which places little burden on a battery. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle V includes: a motor generator 2 for driving drive wheels 1FR, 1FL; an in-vehicle battery 4; a motor 6 for power generation; and an engine 7 which drives the motor 6 for power generation without driving the drive wheels 1FR, 1FL. A cooling channel 8a passing the inside of the engine 7 forms a closed circuit and a coolant liquid flows inside. A heat branch 8b is branched from the cooling channel 8a, and the heat branch 8b passes the in-vehicle battery 4 and then is connected onto the cooling channel 8a again. In a portion where the heat branch 8b is branched on the cooling channel 8a, a first three-way valve 13 is provided and the heat branch 8b is disconnected with respect to the cooling channel 8a. When the temperature of the in-vehicle battery 4 is lower than a battery operation lower limit temperature Tsc2, the first three-way valve 13 is operated, the coolant liquid flows to the heat branch 8b, and the in-vehicle battery 4 is warmed up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
