<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell and a manufacturing method of the same, which can improve reliability, productivity, beauty and a freedom degree of installation in various devices. <P>SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized solar cell comprises: a first substrate 20; a first electrode 10 arranged on the first substrate 20; a porous semiconductor layer 12 arranged on the first electrode and including semiconductor fine particles 2 and dye molecules 4; an electrolyte 14 touching the porous semiconductor layer 12 with an oxidation-reduction electrolyte being dissolved in a solvent; a catalyst layer touching the electrolyte 14; a second electrode 18 arranged on the catalyst layer; a second substrate 22 arranged on the second electrode 18; and an encapsulation material 16 arranged between the first substrate 20 and the second substrate 22 for encapsulating the electrolyte 14.
