<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe conveying apparatus which causes no conveyance mark remaining on a steel pipe, can rotate and uniformly cool the steel pipe even when idling and which has a simple and inexpensive conveying mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: This conveying apparatus 20 includes: a plurality of guide rails 8 which are provided along the conveying direction of the steel pipe K and inclined at an up-grade relative to the regular conveying direction; conveying chains 11 which are provided along the conveying direction between adjacent guide rails 8 and to which top rollers 12 are annexed at prescribed intervals, the top roller 12 being situated above the upside of the guide rails 8 and supporting the steel pipe on the guide rails 8; a drive and a driven sprockets 4, 5 on which this chain 11 is wound in a revolvable manner; and a tension sprocket 6 on which the chain is wound so that tension is imparted to the conveying chains 11 in a position between the drive and the driven sprockets 4, 5 and in a position where the top rollers 12 do not support the steel pipe K. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
