<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for a motor and a method of manufacturing the same capable of resolving a problem that a laminated electromagnetic steel plate and a permanent magnet are contacted in a plane and electrically energized, and a large eddy current is formed between an end surface of the electromagnetic steel plate and the permanent magnet contacted in plane with each other, and thus an eddy current loss is increased. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a method of manufacturing a rotor 20 for a motor. The rotor 20 for a motor comprises a rotor core 10 formed by laminating electromagnetic steel plates 1, and a permanent magnet 2. End parts 1b contacting with the permanent magnet 2, of the respective electromagnetic steel plates 1 each having an insulation coat 3 on at least one lamination plane, are folded in the same direction, and laminated to manufacture the rotor core 10.
