摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing high molecular weight body of styrene-acrylic resin which suppresses the occurrence of hot offset, makes the glossiness of toner preferable and can be easily introduced to the toner, and to provide a method of manufacturing the toner. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing high molecular weight body of styrene-acrylic resin includes: a step of performing emulsion polymerization by mixing a styrene type monomer, an acrylic type monomer and a polymerization initiator to prepare a resin particle dispersion liquid; a step of dispersing the styrene type monomer and the acrylic type monomer into an aqueous medium to prepare a monomer dispersion liquid; and a step of mixing the resin particle dispersion liquid and the monomer dispersion liquid, heating the mixed liquid of the resin particle dispersion liquid and the monomer dispersion liquid and, when reaching the 10h half-life temperature of the polymerization initiator, stirring the mixed liquid at a stirring speed of 0.2 m/s or less for at least 20 min to prepare the high molecular weight body of the styrene-acrylic resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
