<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vibration wave motor devices that can be deactivated while maintaining a holding torque under a condition that abnormal sounds are restrained. <P>SOLUTION: Vibration wave motor devices 30, 40 according to the present invention have: a vibration wave motor 30 having a first elastic body 311L vibrated by a first electromechanical energy conversion element 312L, a second elastic body 311U vibrated by a second electromechanical energy conversion element 312U, and a relative motion member 32 in pressure contact with the first and second elastic bodies, and driven in a first direction CW or a second direction CCW opposite to the first direction by vibration of at least one of the elastic bodies; a signal generation part 42 for generating first driving signals C1, C2, second driving signals A1, A2, and second driving signals B1, B2; a switch part 43 that can switch any of the driving signals to be applied to the first and second electromechanical energy conversion elements; and a control part 44 for controlling the switch part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
