<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an excellent image free from image unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: specifying the reflecting surfaces of a polygon mirror 102c (rotary polygon mirror) to be irradiated with a laser beam emitted from a light-emitting portion of a semiconductor laser element 200K; detecting a displacement amount in a sub scanning direction of each main scanning line on a photosensitive drum 104a which is scanned by the respective reflecting surfaces of the polygon mirror 102c with the laser beam; and selecting a light-emitting portion to be used out of a plurality of light-emitting portions of the semiconductor laser element 200K according to the specified reflecting surfaces and the detected displacement amount in the sub scanning direction of the respective main scanning lines, and thereby correcting the displacement amount in the sub scanning direction of the respective main scanning lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
