PURPOSE: A marine plant and an installation method thereof are provided to facilitate to open and close the gate of a complex offshore plant and to maintain the watertightness of a gate applied in the complex offshore plant. CONSTITUTION: A marine plant and an installation method thereof comprise a gravity base structure(10), a gate(30), and a barge(20). The gravity base structure is fixed in a predetermined installation space and is equipped with partitions in every direction. The gate is openably installed in a partition. The barge is a floating type and is settled on the bottom surface of the gravity base structure.
