PURPOSE: A distribution of light shift pattern apparatus of a vehicle and a method are provided to control the light irradiation distance depending on the distance from a front vehicle, thereby preventing from inducing the dazzling to the front vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A status detection unit(100) senses more than one of the vehicle status and the peripheral status. The status detection unit comprises a driving speed sensing unit which senses the driving speed of the vehicle and a distance sensing unit which senses the distance from a front vehicle. A lamp assembly(200) irradiates the light which has a predetermined distribution of light pattern. A control unit converts the distribution of light pattern depending on more than one of the vehicle status and the peripheral status. The control unit controls the light irradiation distance by rotating a body within an extension area of a shield protrusion which is extended by the distance from the front vehicle.
