<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system, and a blowing unit for the same, capable of effectively utilizing flow of air to enhance radiation effects of a blowing device, by separating an intake port and an exhaust port to right and left of a lamp body, and suctioning cold air at all times by taking it in from below aslant and exhausting downward aslant. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with an intake port 131 formed at an outer periphery side of a heat sink 130, an exhaust port 132 fitted at an opposite side of the intake port 131 in the outer periphery of the heat sink 130 for exhausting air hitting the heat sink 130, a blowing device 140 blowing air taken in through the intake port 131 toward a heat sink 130 side, a diaphragm 135 partitioning between first space including the intake port 131 and a second space including the exhaust port 132, the blowing device 140 and the heat sink 130.
