<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing control device improved in controllability of a fluid relative to an advance chamber or a retard chamber, compact, and superior in mountability to an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The valve timing control device includes a fluid control valve part 2 controlling the supply or discharge of the fluid relative to the advance chamber or the retard chamber, a lock control valve part 100 controlling the supply or discharge of the fluid relative to an intermediate lock flow path locking the relative rotation of a driven side rotating member to a driving side rotating member at an intermediate position between the maximum retard position and the maximum advance position, and an accumulator control valve part 120 controlling an accumulator 110 supplying the fluid to the fluid control valve part 2 during startup of the engine. The valve timing control device includes the fluid control valve part 2, the lock control valve part 100, and the accumulator control valve part 120 on the opposite side of a camshaft across the driving side rotating member or the driven side rotating member.
