摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection device capable of preventing lowering of illumination intensity and reducing illuminance unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: An image projection device comprises: an illumination optical system comprising a light source including a reflector 11, an illuminance equalization element 4, relay lenses 5 and 6, first and second folding mirrors 7 and 8; a reflection type spatial optical modulation element 10 in which an image is formed by reclining each arranged mirror element and illumination light is radiated by the illumination optical system; and a projection optical system 20 that projects light reflected by the reflection type spatial light modulation element 10 on an image projection surface. The second folding mirror 8 includes a notch 81 to avoid mechanical overlapping of a lens barrel part of the projection optical system 20 and the second folding mirror 8. A light source unit 1 including the reflector 11 includes a position adjustment member so as to perform an illumination distribution adjustment for a part corresponding to the notch 81 in an illumination area of the reflection type spatial optical modulation element 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
