<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air flow rate measuring apparatus capable of performing heat cleaning when an ECU requests the heat cleaning. <P>SOLUTION: When an external signal is inputted from an ECU 4 to an air flow rate measuring apparatus 1, heat cleaning for increasing the temperature of an exothermic heater higher than temperature for air flow rate measurement is performed. When the ECU 4 determines necessity of heat cleaning or determines an operation state suitable for heat cleaning, the heat cleaning can be executed. Since the external signal is applied to an output terminal 28d, necessity of an exclusive harness and an exclusive terminal which are used in conventional techniques can be eliminated. Since the temperature of the exothermic heater is increased to an approximately fixed temperature based on an intake temperature during the execution of heat cleaning, deterioration of the exothermic heater due to excessive increase of the temperature can be avoided and reliability can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
