<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair which causes a plurality of energy-applying means to apply energy to a backrest in a balanced and smooth manner, efficiently adjusts an energy-applying force acting on the backrest without breaking the balance of the energy-applying force, and puts together and houses the plurality of energy-applying means in a narrow space. <P>SOLUTION: Rotating members 16 are fixed to a pair of left/right pivots 8, respectively, which are supported pivotally on a support base 6 and rotate together with a backrest. A pair of left/right first energy-applying means 20 disposed in the support base 6 apply energy to the rotating members 16 in a direction of raising the backrest. A second energy-applying means 40 with an energy-applying adjusting means 39 disposed between the left/right first energy-applying means 20 in the support base 6 applies energy to a connection lever 19, which connects the eccentric portions of the left/right rotating members 16 to each other, in the direction of raising the backrest. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
