<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor of a permanent magnet rotary electric machine that prevents enlargement of axial size of an outer edge of a rotor core and ensures desired output, and to provide a permanent magnet rotary electric machine provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor 1 comprises: a rotor core 3 that has a plurality of laminated magnetic steel sheets 30; and a plurality of permanent magnets 5 that are embedded in a plurality of respective magnet housing holes 32 that are bored through the rotor core 3 in an axial direction of a rotation shaft. The magnet housing holes 32 are disposed in such a manner that each adjacent pair of the magnet housing holes 32 spreads toward an outer edge 31 of the rotor core 2. An end plate 2 is disposed at each of two ends of the rotor core 3 along the axial direction of the rotating shaft. Each end plate 2 has an erected portion 21 that is formed, in a direction facing away from the rotor core 3, between an inner end 322 of each magnet housing hole 32 and the outer edge 31 along a radial direction of the rotating shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
