<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to exactly confirm that security is ensured by initialization in a receiving buffer without misunderstanding. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 231 included in a printer 1 is allowed to classify commands and data existing in a printing buffer area 261 into either first kind information that can be output from the viewpoint of security or second kind information that is improper to be output from the viewpoint of security, to receive an inquiry command from an external terminal 400 to inquire the conditions of the commands and data in the printing buffer area 261, to determine whether only the first kind information exists not including the second kind information or the second kind information is included in the printing buffer area 261 in accordance with a result of information classification with a fact that the inquiry command is received as a trigger, and to output to transmit information on a result of determination corresponding to the result of determination to the external terminal 400 based on the result of determination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
