<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag with which a crew member can be protected appropriately regardless of design of an instrument panel part. <P>SOLUTION: In an air bag body part 15, a horizontal expansion part 41 is mounted to the side of a driver D, the horizontal expansion part 41 being configured to be deployed along a car width direction between an abdominal region A of the driver D and an instrument panel part 13 by introducing expansion gas.
