<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present information about acoustic wave acquisition time or binding hours of a subject according to a photographing region designated by a user in a subject-information acquisition apparatus that acquires acoustic waves by operating a receiver (probe). <P>SOLUTION: The subject-information acquisition apparatus has: a receiver including an element that receives elastic waves and converts the elastic waves into electrical signals; a region designating means that designates a region in a subject in which the characteristics information should be acquired; a scanning means that scans the subject with the receiver on the basis of the designated region; and a control means that acquires information about the time, during which the receiver scans the region, and allows a presenting means to present the information about the acquired time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
