<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method capable of obtaining high fixing strength of an image to be formed while achieving reduction in the supply amount of a fixing liquid and enhancing the fixing speed in a wet fixing system. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming method which comprises the steps of: forming an electrostatic latent image on an electrostatic latent image carrier; developing the electrostatic latent image with a dry developer comprising a toner containing at least a binder resin to form a toner image; transferring the toner image to an image support; and supplying a fixing liquid for softening at least a part of the toner to the toner image transferred to the image support, wherein the fixing liquid contains water, a softening agent and a fixing aid, the softening agent containing a carbonic acid ester or an aliphatic carboxylic acid ester, and the fixing aid containing a hydrocarbon compound having a quaternary ammonium cation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
