MICROLENS ARRAY AND OPTICAL TRANSMISSION COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microlens array which maintains high position accuracy with an optical circuit of a waveguide or the like and facilitates connection work, and an optical transmission component provided with the microlens array.

SOLUTION: The microlens array relating to this invention includes a plurality of microlenses 1 arranged in an array structure and having the same length in an optical axis direction, and optical fibers 9 for an adjustment core arranged at both ends of the array structure so as to make an optical axis parallel with an optical axis of the microlenses 1, wherein length in an optical axis direction is as long as the length of the microlenses 1, and a waveguide mode diameter is smaller than the aperture of the microlenses 1.
